Soccer- A Marvel

A cool and cloudy Sunday afternoon at UB stadium treated soccer fanatics to matches 6 & 7 of the AUSC Region 5 Youth Games Gaborone 2018 featuring first Tanzania against Malawi then South Africa against Angola.
It was a marvel to watch as the youngsters displayed skill and talent proving that the Region 5 Youth Games are developmental pedestal for future sport stars.
The first match of the afternoon was Tanzania against Malawi where the competition’ invited guests scored a graceful goal by Kelvin Pius in the first minutes of the match to maintain a lead that they held on till the end of the first half. Immediately after the start of the first match team Malawi equalized the scores and fought will they had to either draw or win the match unfortunately Tanzania had an upper hand forcing the match to a 2-1 win against Malawi. Pius was then named man of the match.
On the second fixture the UB stadium hosted South Africa against Angola which South Africa won with a 1-nil through a penalty that was awarded in the first 20 minutes of the game. It was a tough match with Angola threatening to hit the back of the net but failed to until the last whistle blow. Man of the match went to jersey number 4-Bongolwethu Yeisi of South Africa.
