Nijel Amos headlines Pre Classic men’s 800

Amos, the top-ranked 800-meter runner in the world and the Pre Classic record-holder, is entered in a field that also includes top American Donavan Brazier and two of the three medalists from last year’s IAAF World Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Days before his outdoor opener in late March, Nijel Amos expressed a desire to run at Hayward Field this season, giving him a chance to compete in front of the fans in his new hometown.

He’ll get that opportunity May 25 during the Prefontaine Classic track and field meet’s Friday night lineup.
